Founded in 1946, the Kurt Mfg. Co. began as a general manufacturer of specialized machinery, including a multi-spindle carving machine. In 1962, the company began manufacturing its iconic Anglock machine vise, beginning with three models. Since then, the company design has became the industry standard for machinery vises.
