My best guess is that this machine was made in 1956 due to this article

A real workhorse. Parks manufactured planers for Sears, Roebuck when this was made so this is in fact a Parks 12" planer even though it carries the badge of Sears, Roebuck. It has been beautifully maintained throughout the years, aside from the flaking paint of the cast body it has no mechanical flaws. 2HP Emerson motor wired currently at 220V. New switch and cord. Cast base with custom, adjustable motor mount. Comes with mobile base on casters. asking $750. emails only but will respond quickly.

The planer can be easily disassembled from the base/motor assembly for transport. Two able bodies can fairly easily carry each component and load into the back of a truck. Would consider shipping if buy arranges everything. I'm sure I could crate it up for a fee.
