This is a parks no 2 bandsaw from the 50s. It runs and has a monster old Lima true 1.5HP 19amp/9.7amp at 110/220 motor. The saw does run.
Someone cut away sheet metal from the cabinet for unknown reasons. New 1/8" sheet steel should be welded in place to cut down on vibration.
The rubber tires are a bit chewed up and could do with replacement. It's making the saw not track very easily at the moment.
Full restoration would include welding in new 1/8" sheet metal, paint (original finish was electroplated nickel or whatever in the 50s style), removing rust from the table. For actual use, making a blade guard would be smart.
I'm willing to sell for $400. If you just want the saw and let me keep the motor, I could go down to $200. |
