This is a Vintage Antique Table Saw I rescued from being thrown away with the intentions of restoring it. I have seen on this web site how beautiful they are. Unfortunately I have to many other projects I want to do that can't be done till I have a working piece of machinery. So I don't want it to go to waste and didn't want to part this beautiful and functioning machine out on eBay. I figured this was the best place to try and help it get to an appreciated home. As stated it works and runs. Below is straight out the owners manual.
SEARS, ROEBUCK and CO. Craftsman Model 103.23420 7" Bench Saw
This bench saw will give best results when operated at approximately 4500 R.P.M. Satis. factory operating speed and power can be obtained with a 1/2 horsepower 3450 R.P.M. motor equipped with a 2-1/2 inch diameter pulley, or a 1/2 horsepower 1750 R.P.M. motor equipped with a 5 inch pulley. If the saw is to be used for light work only, a 1/3 horsepower motor with the above speed and pulley combinations will provide sufficient power. This saw is designed to be driven either from below or from the rear. |
