I am currently accepting offers for this tenoner. I am located in The Plains, VA. If you are located in the area, I can load on my Bobcat and deliver to you. The description is below:

Yates-American No. 2 1/2 single-end tenoner. Four-head DMD (3 ph) machine: two tenon motors, two cope motors, no cutoff saw or motor. All four motors work well, but need going through. Vent screens all appear to be present. One cope motor probably needs new bearings. All four motors controlled by single switch. Panel on front lower left with labels for motors is a cover for the overloads. All four mag switches are located on the left side of the machine. Contacts were not examined. Slight vibration on startup, could be knife balance or bearings.

Lower cope motor disengaged from vertical adjustment lead screw, the motor has been lowered beyond the bottom of the lead screw; the motor probably simply needs to raised to be engage the lead screw. Adjustment functions operational (except one, see below), but ways and gibs could stand to be cleaned.

Factory motor lead screw crank handle is included. Length stops don't appear to be present.

Machine is dusty but has no rust, ways are good with little wear. Wide table for 24" panels (I think). Rolling action is smooth and roller babbitts are good with plenty of shim left.

Shop No. 527343 puts date around 1930. Factory tenon heads included with cheek knives and scoring knives installed. Cheek knives in good condition but nearing end of useful life. Knife bolts in good condition. Factory cope heads with bent knives installed on machine. Several extra sets of more modern insert style cope heads included with inserts. Large quantity of bent coping knives included. Factory hold down present but partially damaged, apparently from being fed into tenon heads.

Welded repair on upper tenon head dust chute, perhaps from thrown knife; no impact on function.

The only apology is the lower cope motor horizontal adjustment lead screw anchor lug is broken adjacent to an earlier, welded break. This will have to be repaired for cope motor horizontal adjustment. No other casting breaks have been observed.
