I finally have the space for a Bridgeport, so I'm reluctantly going to part ways with this mill. I rescued this from the furnace about 3 years ago, completely went through it then (down to the last screw) and it's been a fantastic machine ever since. It's a bit of an orphan model... definitely an 85XX Clausing, but not an 8520/8530. I've only seen 2 others like it, and one was branded Johannson. Rather than having a round ram with the motor on top, there's a varidrive in the base with a driveshaft that comes up through the column. The combination of the varidrive and VFD is fantastic, the functional speed range is from as low as 18 to about 3200. It also has what appears to be a factory X powerfeed, although I've never seen one like it (runs on a separate 110v motor). The main motor is 1/2HP 3PH.

Included is a Teco 110v-3PH VFD (rated for 1HP), Kurt D40 vise and import swivel base (this vise is the perfect size for these mills), a set of 3 inch import parallels, 1/2" import clamp set, full set of MT2 collets (Hardinge & Royal, I got 2 full sets with the mill & picked out the best in each size), 3/8 Jacobs chuck, MT2 boring head, & MT2 1/2" endmill holder. Basically everything you need to be up and running on household power.

Like I said, this has been an absolutely awesome mill in my small home shop. If my shop didn't recently get a lot bigger, I'd probably keep it forever. I'm in Peoria IL, I've got an engine hoist available to help load... it probably weighs around 1000 lbs, and can definitely be transported in a pickup. Feel free to ask any questions at all, and thanks for taking a look!
