This was pretty much a working machine, but dirty, rusty, and ugly as hell with chipped paint and he ugliest color imaginable for an industrial machine. I was thinking of restoring the mustard color, but blew it off in favor of an industrial grey. (Pardon me, purists). I did it this way hoping it will be headed for a useful life, as opposed to just being looked at and admired. The first two pictures are "Before" shots. It's missing a knob on top for the blade tensioner, but I'm working on that. I doubt I'll be able to find an original, but I'll try to get something that works well. The motor is strong, wiring looks fine. Had to re-do the case ground which was brittle and suspect. It's loud, but smooth, and I put all need feet on it since it only had two originals when I got it Now, I knew nothing of this machine prior to owning it, so I'm sure some adjustments may need to be done. As it sits right now, absolute perpendicular seems to be off a half a click to the right of zero. I made a bit of a coarse adjustment already, being that it was off more than one and a half clicks, previously, but there doesn't seem to be any finer adjustment built into this piece of equipment. I can explain what I did, upon purchase, to the buyer. -- John |
