This Craftsman "Master Craftsman Ten-Inch Bench Saw" - as it is named on the operating and parts list pages - is old but it still works (belonged to a friend's grandpa). The motor was disassembled and years of saw dust blown out. A new Rockler start/stop switch was installed. The motor was reconnected and a new 'link belt' type belt was installed and works great!
The saw is HEAVY! It belonged to a friend's grandfather who built the wooden stand it is currently mounted to. The table is cast iron and HEAVY!
Would prefer to sell the saw to those close by or within a decent driving distance from zip code 98026. The saw is so HEAVY, so shipping costs can and will be pretty high. UPS does freight type shipping based on the zip code it is being shipped to so that rate can range from $100 on up. Buyer will have to arrange for shipping.
If you are into renovating old woodworking machinery, this saw wouldn't take much to bring it back to its former self when it rolled off the assembly line.
The model number indicates it was probably manufactured sometime in the 1940s by the Atlas company for Sears. Here's the number so you can research it and decide if it is the saw for you: 101.02161
If you know table saws, and are familiar with this particular one, then you will know its dimensions. The table is (approximately) 32" x 34 1/16". The rip fence is a shorty so a wooden face was added (A 'ShopFox' fence might work on this one). The saw has a safety guard and splitter but needs the attachment assembly, which I don't have, to put it into use. |
