Mortiser circa 1860, has been modified by adding an electric motor and modern mortising chisel holder and chisels. Note the oak wooden spring on the back side, and the wooden wedge used to adjust foot pedal tension. Table adjusts in and out and up and down just as originally designed. Motor is mounted to the dovetail slide and moves up and down via the foot pedal,spring and linkage. 3 original chisels are included. This is a working machine.
