Im selling a F.E Reed Lathe built around the year 1909. If this sounds familiar its because it is. Keith worked on this exact lathe to make a cross feed nut & cross feed screw. (Watch the video on his channel).
The lathe works and runs. Its missing some of the gears for threading and that goes along with the auto feed. I use it for making small bushings and repairing some items around the farm. Great restoration projects for anyone. This lathe used to be set up for a line shaft but now is set up for 120v belt driven. The bullhead gear works and the bearings are still smooth. The tail stock operates and moved really smooth along the bed. If you want more pictures or information please email. I really did not want to sell this item but now with a baby I need the money.
