Fred J. Swaine No. 31 Punch Press

From old record found it appears this is an 18 ton OBI press. It would be nice to find the official factory specs for the model no. 31 but in the meantime this is what I know:

The motor was made by Marathon Electric Mfg. Corp.. The tag says 3/4 hp and 1725 rpm.

The platen is 14 1/2" wide and 10 1/2" deep.

Platen bolt centers are 11 3/4" across width and 7 3/8" fore and aft.

The throat depth, from approx. center of stub clamp to the arbor is 5 1/2".

The asking price for this machine came from reviewing what I had been able to find listed on other sites, making comparisons, and trying to come up with a starting point for discussion. With this I'm not stuck on anything and will consider all reasonable offers.

The press was last used in 1968 to make an aftermarket part for Volkswagen "Beetles".
