PICKUP MONDAY OR TUESDAY OR IT WILL BE SCRAPPED.
Here is one of those deals for the right person. Before you read any further, please understand this is a very large, very heavy lathe. It weighs approximately 8500 pounds. You cannot move this lathe with your Prius. You also can't move it in the bed of your F350. That said...
Here we have a Monarch Series 61 lathe. It is a 22.5" swing with 72" between centers. I bid on this in an auction for a friend and won it at an insanely low price. Then yet another friend said he wanted it, so I paid the rigger's fee to load it on a flatbed truck / trailer. Then they both backed out once the reality of an 8500 pound lathe set in. It's an amazing machine but I'm just a hobbyist and was trying to do those guys a favor and now stuck with a lathe I can't move or run and out a few bucks.
I could pull some parts off of it and sell them to cover my costs (and then some, Monarchs are $$$) and hope to find a scrapper to haul away the rest, but this is a plug and play lathe currently sitting in a working environment as the company just shut down and auctioned off all their assets. It is foolish to scrap out a beauty like this. In today's dollars, this 1960's machine cost close to $200,000.00 new.
Per the catalog, it has a 10, 15 or 20hp motor. I am not sure which, but be prepared for any of that.
Per the catalog, it is between 8300 and 9000 pounds. Be prepared for that with a flatbed or trailer that can handle it.
The rigger has been paid and will load ONLY on Monday or Tuesday, April 15-16, 2024 between 8am and 3pm. If you can't make it then, then this is not for you. There is no wiggle room or rescheduling.
Please only send a message if you are DEADLY SERIOUS. If you have always wanted a spectacular large lathe, this is your chance. Asking only for a pittance to save my dignity at this point.
If you want a response to your email: 1. Include the town where you're coming from so I can tell you're not a robot. 2. Include a phone number. I will call you to provide the particulars. 3. Include details of the equipment you will use to load out (trailer, flatbed, etc.). |
