12-inch Rockwell contractor's saw, model 34-388
12-inch Rockwell contractor's saw, model 34-388, serial number JM-7458, with a 12" 60T carbide blade that could use replacing. Refurbished with some new paint, new knobs and handles, fixing bolts, 1/2 " x 47" drive belt and used aluminium up-and-down knob. It has a working 2 hp 110 v Dayton motor. Comes with an older Incra fence system in fair condition although I replaced one knob and the fence facing.
Sorry, no mitre slide; the previous owner ditched the standard fence and mitre slide for the far superior Incra fence system that is both light an extremely accurate. It has a raggedy insert but I replaced fixing screws (10-34) and chased the threads. I may make a zero clearance insert.
I bought it to finish a project and not to cherish, though it is a serviceable saw of its kind. Serial number would say when it was built. It is on a wheeled platform and can be moved down the narrow driveway to whatever conveyance.
