OVERVIEW-
Delta/Rockwell 14" Tilting Arbor Cabinet Saw (TAS).
Partially disassembled for upgrading.
Both the top and the motor were removed to facilitate upgrades. No other operational components or assemblies have been loosened or removed.
The upgrades include 2 new bearings on the arbor shaft, the installation of a new flat poly-groove drive belt and pulley on the arbor shaft, and the planned change-out of the original 5HP-3PH motor for a 3HP-1PH motor.
The arbor shaft upgrade work is complete but neither the motor or the cast iron top has been reinstalled.
There saw was operational prior to beginning the upgrades. There is no known damage to any part or component. Everything required to reassemble the saw as an operating unit is included. All fasteners removed at the time of disassembly are present, bagged, and identified.

This unit is only available for pick-up…and the only option for transportation is a low-level trailer which would allow for the cabinet to be pivoted onto it or with lifting equipment (forklift or loader). The cabinet is estimated to weigh 30
0#-500#.
INFORMATION DETAIL:
TOP AND FENCE TUBES
The 3-section Cast Iron Top Surface was removed from the cabinet to allow access to the Arbor Shaft assembly. The top was separated into its 3 sections to facilitate handling. The fence guide tubes were also removed from the top to allow the top to be separated and to prevent damage to the tubes.
The cast iron Table Top consists of 3 separate sections. [170#, 75#, 70#].
Both fence guide tubes [11# x 2] along with the tube stand-off hardware are included. Tube mounting hardware has been bagged and labelled.
MOTORS, DRIVES, & ELECTRICS
The original 5HP-3PH motor was removed and is currently mounted to a wood mini-skid. The original power cable between the on-off switch and the motor is still attached to the motor.
There is also a replacement 3HP-1PH motor included which is also mounted on a wood mini-skid.
The motors are estimated to each weigh in excess of 100#.
Included are two pulley/drive options…both the original 4V-belt pulley-set and a new Poly-V belt set-up, both options include new belts. The Poly V-belt pulley and belt has been installed on the Arbor Shaft Assembly.
Both complete pulley & belt sets are included. The Poly V pulley/belt set is completely new, and the original 4V-belt set includes a brand new set of 4 matched belts.
Motor Information Note: Both the 5HP-3PH and the 3HP-1PH motor have identical shaft diameters and lengths, so either pulley system is available for use on either motor.
The on-off switch box has been removed from the cabinet and is included.
CABINET
The cabinet is fully assembled, with the all of the yokes and the tilting arbor assembly in-tact. Nothing mounted in the cabinet was removed or disassembled other than Motor/Motor Mounting Base and the Arbor Shaft assembly.
The Clean-out Access Panel/Door was sandblasted and painted.
Two motors are included, both the original 5HP-3PH, and intended replacement 3HP-1PH.
New bearings have been installed in the Arbor Shaft Assembly and that assembly has been re-installed.
After the original motor was removed, the Motor Mounting Base was also removed, sandblasted, primed, and reinstalled.
The Cabinet Saw is complete, including all pieces, parts, components, and fasteners.
Both the blade-tilt and the blade-height adjustment systems function freely, without binding, and with no ‘slop’ in the mechanisms.
In the cabinet photos, the cabinet may appear to have rusted areas, but that rust is only superficial/surface-rust. The Cabinet is sound and undamaged.

There are 2 Fences, 1 is complete, and the second is missing the locking handle. [27#, 34#]

MISCELLANEOUS
While the Arbor Shaft upgrades were being done, the Blade Guard, Motor Mounting Base and a couple of the original Specialty Wrenches were sandblasted and primed.
1) A brand new flat-belt drive pulley set including a new flat-belt.
New sealed bearings have been installed in the arbor assembly, and the motor mounting base has been installed on the motor pivot bar.
There are two complete arbor shaft extensions, with arbor nuts, and blade flanges which will permit mounting blades with either 1" or 1-1/8" mounting holes.
One original miter gauge is included [11#]
A few of the items have been sandblasted and spray-primed:
1-The cast iron blade insert for the top was sandblasted and primed on the underside and sides but on not on the working surface.
2-The cast iron motor mount base was sandblasted and primed.
3-The blade guard and its insert were both sandblasted and primed.
