Hendey Machine Co. Pattern makers or wood working lathe from 1874. In 1874 research indicates that the newly formed Hendey Co. received it's first large order and it was for 20 Pattern lathes. The only time they made wood working power tools. The Hendey Co. went on to become a world famous builder of high quality metal working machine tools...

This particular lathe came from the Ovation Guitar factory and was subsequently owned by a retired employee who used it to make decorative bowls. The lathe is is excellent original condition, turns freely with no play in the spindle. Comes with all the tooling shown in the photos. Please do examine the photos as they are part of the description.. If someone is interested we do have a overhead line shaft with pulley and motor available for purchase that powered this lathe.. You are welcome to visit the shop and inspect..
