This company was suggested by an ad for a used veneer lathe in 1917 catalog. The business was described in city directories as a foundry and machine shop, located at 215 N. South St. Their 1919 advertisement described "Veneer cutting machines with impression rolls for baskets, orange boxes, etc. Butter dish, berry box, fruit basket, orange box, California grape basket and truck barrel machinery a specialty."

The business incorporated as E. E. Titus, Inc. in 1935. In March, 1956 the company bought the Farquhar Sawmill Division of Oliver Corp., and began manufacturing sawmills for export that year. The company closed in 1974.
