The 
Bryant Chucking Grinder Company was founded in 1909 by William LeRoy Bryant.  It continued until 1958 when it was purchased by the 
Ex-Cell-O Corporation where it operated as a subsidiary. In 1986, Ex-Cell-O and its subsidiary's were purchased by Textron and then in 1988 the Bryant Grinder group was sold again, this time to the Goldman Group, a financial investment group.  Finally, in 2002, Bryant Grinder was purchased by Vermont Machine Tool where it has operated as a division since.
