Nebel Lathes are built by the Nebel Lathe Division of Nebel Machine Tool Corp. The company's history in lathe building dates back to 1899 when the parent company. Rahn-Mayer-Carpenter Co. was founded. Sometime later the company name was changed to Rahn-Larmon Co.
In 1941, the company became known as The Nebel Machine Tool Co. with Ferd T. Nebel, who had been a designer with Rahn-Larmon for many years, as president.
In 1955, the company name was modified to Nebel Machine Tool Corp. by the present owners.
