"I. F. & G. B. McClench occupy a two story wooden building 60 x 40 feet, as a machine shop, a blacksmiths’ shop, 30 x 50 feet; also a foundry, 32 x 52 feet, and manufacture steam engines, boilers, shafting, mill work, &c. The business was established about 1843, by Isaiah McClench, and gives employment to ten persons. Their machinery is driven by an over-shot wheel of 20 feet diameter and 4 feet face."
