  • 1921-02-17 The Iron Age lists Jones Machine Tool Works of Philadelphia as makers of slotting machines, special machinery, and straightening machines.
  • December 1923 Machinery.
    Jones Machine Tool Works, with plants at 5300 Lansdown Ave., Philadelphia, and Primos, Pa., has recently been incorporated, and will operate in the future as the Jones Machinery Tool Works, Inc. The main office at Philadelphia will be retained for some time, and the concern will continue the manufacture of its full line of slotters, floor horizontal boring mills, and vertical mills. The officers of the company are Frank S. Jones, president; Paul D. Jones, vice-president and works manager; and D. E. Jones, secretary and treasurer.
  • 1941 Prices of New Machine Tools lists this firm and says "The following machines were build in 1929:
    1 — 4-inch horizontal boring mill.
    1 — 5-inch horizontal boring mill.
    2 — 6-inch vertical shapers.
    2 — 12-inch slotters
    1 — 20-inch light duty slotter.
    1 — 25-inch light duty slotter."
    It also lists prices for heavy duty slotters with strokes of 15", 20", 25", 30", and 36", with prices between $6500 to $16,000. Vertical shapers of 6", 8½", and 12" stroke had prices of $4500, $5800, and $6800. A 12"-stroke duplex control slotter was priced at $5250.
