In 1893 Hans Asmus Schneekloth, doing business as H. A. Schneekloth in New York, was manufacturing a patent punching, shearing, stamping and forging machine plus a metal bending machine. This appears to have been a short-lived venture, as we have only found a few ads, all of which appeared in The Iron Age during 1893, and city directories from that era list him variously as a model maker, pattern maker, or machinist.

Between 1870 and 1902 Schneekloth was granted several patents, for a hoist, a barber's chair, various iron-working machines, a telephone receiver, and cigar rolling machines.
