Woodworking machinery maker Heston & Anderson disappeared in the 1960s but one of their most successful product lines—swing saws, which were used to cut lumber to rough length—lived on through H & A Swing Saw Inc., a small firm in Lockridge, IA, 12 miles from Heston & Anderson's old home of Fairfield, IA. Three different models of swing saw were produced. The company survived into the 2010s but their website is defunct and their phone numbers are no longer listed.

Information Sources

  • Their literature says, "Proven dependable since 1921", which suggests that they are directly descended from Heston & Anderson.
  • As of 2022, various online listings suggest that the company was possibly still active as late as 2014 but that they had been out of business for some time.
