Adamite Wheel & Manufacturing Co. manufactured the Empire line of foot-powered grinders. Their primary product, which gave the company its name, was grinding wheels made from the mineral adamite. The company's address in 1920 was 44 Ferguson Ave., Hamilton, Ontario.

The Adamite Wheel and Manufacturing Company, Hamilton, Ont., are makers of the new Empire grinding machines. By an easy and simple motion of the foot 3,000 revolutions per minute are obtained in these machines, which are designed for grinding drills, castings, machine parts, scissors, knives and all kinds of tools. They are very lightly made, and when crated for shipment only weigh 32 lbs.
