Cabinetmaker’s Quick-Acting Vise, 1906

This company's predecessors were Globe Vise & Tool Works of Chicago, followed by Vanmanen & Buys Co., Ltd. of Grand Rapids, circa 1896, who used Globe as their brand name. They were succeeded by Vanmanen Brothers, who changed names in 1905 to Globe Vise & Truck Co., which operated into the late 1950s. The firms manufactured quick-acting cabinetmaker's vises, cabinetmaker's benches, manual training benches, and factory trucks.
