Under both these names the inventor manufactured "Hand and Power Presses, Macaroni Machinery, Calendering Machines and Paper Rolls, Tobaaco Cutters, Granulators and Cigarette Machines." An 1876 ad says that he manufactured "All kinds of Presses, Rolls and Special Tools; New Stamping Presses, Pat. Jan'y 27th, 1874..."
242,280 May. 31, 1881 Machine for cutting card-board Jules De Beauvais New York, NY "In the manufacture of postal and playing cards and the best quality of cards for other purposes each sheet is cut singly, it being first divided lengthwise and then crosswise..."
