Custanite Corp. is best-known as the makers of the Kant-Twist clamp. In 1954 the firm manufactured the Model B Prestoflex Varijaw speed vise, a cam-locking complex multi-angle machine vise. Franklin E. Leow was company president in 1979. By then called Custanite Precision, Inc., the company closed between Mar. 31, 2001 and June 14, 2002.
