Founded in 1939 by Albert E. Ezor and C. D. Rockwell, the Pioneer Broach Co. was a key player in the development of broaching machines in the western U.S. The company is a manufacturer of both broach tooling and broaching machines for industry. Sometime in the early 1980's, Pioneer acquired the LaPointe Machine Tool Co., makers of broaching equipment.

A patent search did not turn up any patents associated with this firm, nor did we find any broaching-related patents to Ezor or Rockwell.
Findagrave.com entry for Albert E. Ezor (1911?-2009) and Calvin D. Rockwell (1895-1965). We are not completely certain that this C. D. Rockwell is the correct one.
