Manufactured Metalworking Machinery


From 1916-06-29 Canadian Machinery. Lang's lathe design was licensed for overseas manufacture in support of the war effort

Information Sources

  • A 1912 report from the US Consulate in Melbourne reports on the shops of engineering firm Geo. W. Kelly & Lewis of that city. The shop's machinery includes "a large and powerful engine lathe, with 30-inch swing and 16 feet between centers, from John Lang & Sons".
  • In 1916 the Montreal firm of Peacock Brothers was manufacturing a Lang lathe under license.
