1907
This firm began operations as a general foundry in 1895. In 1902, they purchased the steam hammer line from Pittsburg Shear Knife & Machine Co. , and changed their focus to making forging hammers and presses under the Erie Foundry name for decades to come. In 1975, Erie Foundry Company (EFCO) reorganized to become the parent company of Erie Foundry Co and Van Air Systems, Inc. and began operating under the name of Erie Press Systems.
