The Tschudi-McBarron Machine Co., Dayton, Ohio, was established in mid-1907 by Charles F. Tschudi, William H. McBarron, Oscar M. Poock, J. F. McBarron, and W. W. Oelman, to manufacture sensitive drill presses, commutator truing machines and hand punch presses. It appears that they were formed to take over a portion of the manufacturing operations of Patterson Tool & Supply Co., which had recently sold their lathe product line to what became the Miami Valley Machine Tool Co.

Tschudi-McBarron was under-capitalized from the beginning. In May of 1909 Charles Tschudi put the company into receivership, and at the end of September he put the company's assets up for sale. We do not know who, if anyone, purchased the rights to the various product lines.
