  • The September 1917 Machinery has an ad for Cisco lathes from Cincinnati Iron & Steel Co. The ad lists W. F. Davis Machine Tool Co., Cleveland, O., as a dealer.
  • The 1917-09-22 Editor and Publisher
    CHARLES O. Stumps has been transferred from the Cleveland office of the W. F. Davis Machine Tool Company to the main office in New York, and will he in charge of the advertising.
  • The December 1917 Machinery.
    Demagnetizes—W. F. Davis Machine Tool Co., 549 W. Washington St., Chicago, 111. A device made in different sizes and claimed to be able to completely demagnetize, metal parts as fast as they can be passed through it. This device is particularly adapted for demagnetizing parts that have been machined on magnetic chucks.
  • The January 1918 Journal of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers lists candidates for membership, including "MEAGHER, FRANCIS J., Sales Engineer, W. F. Davis Machine Tool Co., New York".
  • April 1918 The Automobile Trade Directory has an ad soliciting inquiries on new ur used machine tools. "W. F. Davis Machine Tool Co. / 549 West Washington Boulevard, Chicago, Ill. / 508 Leader-News Bldg. ,Cleveland Ohio / 85 Liberty St., New York City".
  • The 1918-04-04 Iron Trade Review has the following items in its section on "Men of Machinery Trade".
    G. K. Hawkey has resigned as manager of the Cleveland offices of the W. F. Davis Machine Tool Co. ... E. G. Sears, formerly sales manager of the W. F. Davis Machine Tool Co., with offices in New York, has been put in charge of sales from the Cleveland office.

  • The 1918-08-01 American Machnist lists W. F. Davis Machine Tool Co., 945 Pennsylvania Ave., Washington, D. C., as having bid on a Navy contract for motor-head lathes.
  • The 1919-02-20 The Iron Age, in a paragraph about a man leaving the Chicago office of the Hendey Machine Co. to head their Rochester office: "He will be succeeded at Chicago by W. C. Scott, who has been associated with the W. F. Davis Machine Tool Co."

    Peter P. Wagener, formerly connected with the Chicago ofiice of the W. F. Davis Machine Tool Co., and who recently was discharged from army service, has been made assistant to Manager C. C. Horner of the Cleveland oflice of the W. F. Davis Machine Tool Co.
  • 1920-06-03 The Iron Age.
    Bauschke Machinery Co., distributor for metal working machines, has opened up offices and display rooms at 1034 St. Clair Avenue, N. E., Cleveland. Mr. Bauschke was former Ohio representative for Kearney & Trecker Co. E. W. Kenyon, former Ohio representative for the W. F. Davis Machine Tool Co., and C. B. Harding, former eastern representative for the Lees-Bradner Co., are associated with Mr. Bauschke in his new enterprise.
