This Canadian maker of sanding machinery was founded in 1963. In January 2001, Progress sold their brand and product line to Doucet Machineries Inc.

The February 2001 issue of Wood & Wood Products reported that Doucet Machineries Inc. of Daveyluyville, QC, purchased Progress Machine Co. Doucet moved production of the Progress line to Victoriaville, QC.
