New Machine Tool Co. Planned

Plans for another large machine tool plant, similar to several large corporations now operating in Rockford, are being arranged and it is expected that the Rockford Machine Tool Co. will be incorporated soon with a capital of $200,000. Practically all of the stock, it is said, will be taken by Rockford men.

Elwin Strickland, who was formerly connected as a traveling man with a similar company, is back of the move and says that the success of the undertaking is assured.

The definite location of the plant has not been decided upon but the concern will either locate on the water power, where there will be room after the Forbes plant moves, or in the growing southeast end. If incorporated as planned with a capital of $200,000, the company will be one of the large factories of Rockford.
