Image Description:
A wall or post drill designed to take the 3/8-in., 1/2-in., 9/16-in., 5/8-in. and 7/8-in. sizes of its portable electric drill is being brought out by the Black & Decker Mfg. Co., Baltimore. The electric drill can be detached in a few seconds for portable work and is easily attached again.

The vertical column is a solid steel shaft 1 7/16 in. in diameter and 46 in. long. It is clamped to the wall or post by means of heavy brackets at top and bottom. The b r a c k et carrying the electric drill can be raised, lowered or swung around the vertical column and is secured in any position desired by a split collar and clamping screw. A strong helical spring returns the drill to the high position when the feed lever is released. The table can also be raised, lowered or swung around on the vertical column and has six holes tapped in it for the ½-in. studs used to clamp the work in place. An extra-long feed lever gives a feed ratio of 6 to 1. The vertical adjustment of the drill is 25¼ in., the horizontal adjustment 180 deg. The drilling radius is 7 in. and the feed (vertical travel of drill when operated by feed lever) is 4½ in.
