A gang drill of this description, consisting of four 21 in. standard Cincinnati stationary head drills, is illustrated in fig. 234. Three of the spindles are arranged for drilling operations, while the fourth is provided with the geared tapping attachment already described.

Belt-driving arrangements can be provided, instead of the geared motor shown in the illustration, and whichever system is employed provision can be made for stopping or starting any of the drills independently of the others.
