Image Description:
The Trevor Power Feed Bolter — There are few machines in use in slack stave and heading plants that have won a fixed place for themselves so quickly as the bolting machines, and it is very seldom now that the old plan of turning the logs into bolts by hand power is resorted to.
This change in condition is no doubt very largely due to the introduction of the Trevor Power Bolter which is shown in the engraving herewith. The machine is placed handy to the drag saw which divides the logs into proper lengths for stave or heading bolts. Its operation is smooth and accurate and besides the saving in timber it facilitates the operation of the machines and makes a decidedly larger output possible.
This Bolter is furnished by the Trevor Mfg. Co., of Lockport, N. Y. Carries a 50 in. saw for heading bolts and a 60 inch saw for stave bolts. It weighs about 3000 pounds. The manufacturers will gladly furnish any additional information regarding this machine or any of the high grade stave, heading, or veneer machinery for the correct manufacture of which they are favorably noted.
