The only Oliver Wood Lathe that has tapered bearings in the head stock.
My machine(23-C) is maybe one of three? I know one 23 Wood Lathe(purchased by the U.S. Navy) was scrapped after WWII.
My machine is still on the original Oliver wood build pallet. Someone used the small side, while still on the pallet. The 38” large base plate has never been installed. I have the 38” Turing plate. |
