I am the second owner of this tool. My Father-in-Law was the original owner. The only thing I have done to the saw is replace the power cords. It has worked flawlessly for the 30 years I have been using it. I have completed 3 historical restorations of victorian homes. I have no idea how many homes Harry built using this tool. Granted it is not a light weight tool by todays standards and does everything that a compound miter saw does has the great additional ability to cross cut 18". On the old homes I routinely run into boards wider than a modern compound miter saw can handle without flipping the board. With the ability to take it to a job site, and not have to haul a table saw for ripping has made it very convenient. |
