Here is another Onsrud W-200 shaper that I bought at a plant auction and re-sold on eBay. It appears to be an earlier edition than my other one. This shaper has only a single speed of 7500 rpm. Other clues are the fact that it doesn't have an electrical shutoff switch on the footbrake, and the handwheel to raise and lower the table is smaller. It also has a cast iron motor cover, where the later models used a sheet metal cover. Otherwise it is the same design with a removable spindle (for interchanging with a collet spindle). The main spindle is bolted directly to the base casting and the table goes up and down to set the depth of cut. The bearings are lubricated from inside the spindle using 90w transmission oil. The 3 hp motor is connected to the spindle by a thin linen flat belt.
