Comments:
I ran across this sander for sale on Craigslist, and convinced the seller to package it up and ship to me. Most all of the sanders that come up for sale, have bad bearings or broken wheels due to a faulty compound placed on the rim of the wheels to enhance the grip. I actually purchased a NOS early 60's model that was never put together, and was still in the original box. When the sander arrived, there were bit and pieces of the wheel surface material, laying in the bottom of the box! It had hardened and cracked over time. Dismayed at not being able to find replacement wheels, I currently have a company manufacture them for me, so I can also service other users needs. Email me if you are needing a set. This is the most ued tool in my shop, and I usually tell folks tat I turn it on every day, if for no other reason than to sharpen my pencil! They work great for polishing up cast iron handweels and other OWWM parts. This machine has just been completed for an OWWM trade for quest machines.
