Comments:
I bought this from a young man who was moving his cabinet shop. It was in his shop when he moved in so I have no history. It was listed on craigslist as obo and I got it for a very good price. I bought it just to have something to mess around with. I could have listed it as a Dunlap, because when I tried to clean the Dunlap decal with a little simple green the Dunlap decal partialy came off ,exposing a Companion decal underneath, so I left it like that.I took it apart cleaned everything and painted it and lubed everything when I put it together. It came with a Craftsman 1/2 hp,3450 rpm motor. If it was ever run with this motor with the 5" pulley that's on it, it would have run about twice the recommended 3600 rpm.
The knives are not set and the motor isn't connected to it and probably won't be since I'll probably never use it. I'll probably sit it somewhere just to look at.**** Decided to mount it on this stand.****
