My second Delta 14" Band saw restoration. The condition was pretty much the same as the 1943 Delta BS I have posted, needed a complete restore, tires, bearings etc. Belt guard made of 3/8" Baltic birch ply with a turned rosette to cover the exposed pulley shaft and the left blade guard is Honduras Mahogany. The 4 knurled wheel cover knobs were beautifully turned by OWWM member Gary McHugh, aka goosewing. The motor is off a Chinese Reliant BS I picked up on the net cheap. Both of the Band saws have Reliant motors as they were all I could find at a reasonable price. I have no complaints with the motors, plenty of power and very smooth running although not original to the saws. The switch is mounted behind the upper front rail of the base.
