Comments:
This jointer was found on my local CL. It came to me on a "home made" stand of plywood and aluminum. The original paint on the jointer was 99% with only surface rust on the table and cutter head. The motor was a Leland hazardous duty model and it would have been used in a fuel pump or other hazardous environment in its previous life. I decided to stay with the original paint and instead give everything a good cleaning. An old table saw stand was repurposed for the jointer and I took an idea from my old Delta 1460 lathe and made a push/pull rod to start and stop the jointer as the Leland motor had a built-in toggle switch that could be easily adapted.
