Acquired November of 2008 for $35 from the son of the original owner. (The original owner was, in fact, still alive at the time.) This saw was originally purchased and used as a portable job-site saw, and it performed that duty continuously for more than 30 years. It included the original 3/4" motor, fence and rails (not shown) as well as the standard throat plate and a dado throat plate, and both table extensions. The original home-built wooden mobile stand was beginning to fall apart, so I installed the saw on a reconditioned Delta bolt-together base from a 60's era combo unit.

The saw cuts great just the way I found it, and was perfectly dialed in. It was obviously very well cared for, but is about due for bearings again. (The history lesson I received on this saw from the seller indicated that it is already on it's third set of bearings.) So far, I've only replaced the belt and a missing pivot screw from the miter guage, tossed a new Freud blade on it, and purchased a replacement standard throat plate and a moulding head throat plate; both new in the box.

Small though it may be, this is my go-to table saw. Future plans include adding a router table made from a scavenged 34-600 table saw top, (supported by a brace to the stand, which is why I bolted the saw to the left of the combo stand) as well as a modern fence.
