I purchased this last week in Durham,NH. I have not been able to disassemble the headstock to replace a very worm belt. I have removed the end collar and woodfurd key along with the pulley set screw butth the shaft will not slide out. Would be glad for any help. It came with some machine tools but I am not sure if it is convertable. As 0f 5-21-10 with the help of a couple of subscribers it appears that this is a later 1936 Craftsman "Universal Heavy Duty Lathe". I was finally able to remove the shaft from the headstock with several serious blows and am in the process of cleaning all the parts. Will post completed photos. Thanks to Joe and Jeremy for the help. I have only to mount the lathe to it's new stand and add the motor. I am about a week away from turning my first whatever.
