This "Diamond" foot powered mortising machine was rescued from a scrap dealer in the late 1990's by owwm member Robert Wagner. Bob sold the Seneca Falls machine to me in December, 2009. It came with a 1/4" chisel with the diamond trade mark. A whitish film was present on various sections of the mortiser. This film was successfully removed using Kramer's Best Antique Improver. The hold downs required painting.

My internet search of Diamond machines indicates the cast iron fence and foot peddle designs had a cosmetic change over-the-years. I assume my Diamond is a later production model.
