Comments:
My father acquired this saw used as a trade about 30 years ago & it was handed down to me. It has a home made angle iron stand &, with the exceptioin of the broken spindle, is in very good condition. I am just about to start making a new spindle. The blade never did track quite right & I took it apart to find out why. The spindle seems to have been over tightened & the spindle sagged in the pot metal bracket that is pressed into. I dropped the spindle while taking it out & broke the boss. So I will be making the complete spindle & tensioner assembley.

I have now repaired the band saw with the aid an original part from a fellow Old WoodWorking Machine fan. I found that I needed to have a saw with 12" resaw capability & need the room to put it so I put the ole Craftsman up on Ebay. Here's a photo of the saw... We'll see how it goes.
