I have been looking for a nice older unisaw. I wanted to find one with the cast iron base and the oval hole around the motor. Wile hunting on CL i found this one. From what i can tell by the ser # i think it is 1959. when i called about it i was told that he got it from a cabinet shop where it was there backup saw. When i made the 2hr one way drive to pick it up i was really amazed at how nice of shape the saw was in. A little cleaning with some softscrub and it looks great. To have the original paint that old and looking that good was pretty cool. From what i can tell, the switch was installed when the saw was put together with the 2hp 3ph motor. I am assuming that those switches were only added with the 3ph motors? The only thing the saw is missing that i would love to find is the crank handle for the blade tilt. And the blade guard. If i could ever find a original motor cover,that would also be great. I paid $375. for the saw.
