Comments:
A lucky find on Craigslist. Art Walker helped immensely with the retrieval. The seller posted the badge, and for us that is often plenty to identify the machine. It had been used to cut steel, and featured a blade with a tooth count appropriate to that task, but the weld job on the blade was so poorly executed I can't imagine it would have done even a barely adequate job. Tires are very thick and are not crowned. The machine of course is a Walker Turner-badged-as-Craftsman. Missing one of the four knobs that hold the blade shrouds on, the upper blade guard, and equipped with a WEG motor, the saw was otherwise pretty complete. I paid the asking price and love the saw. After a bit of work un-jamming the shaft that keeps the upper blade tensioning mechanism aligned, a new wood blade, and a minimal amount of tuning it cuts beautifully.
