This Delta 14" drill press was said to have belonged to an Italian cabinetmaker. The previous owner bought the man's whole shop which included a 14" Delta wood/metal band saw and a Delta table saw / jointer combo and a Homecraft lathe. I bought the band saw and the drill press. They were both the typical dirty greasy green but in good shape with intact decals all over them. This drill press has the decal at the front of the table and the patent decal and it had the "6400" decal on the motor, which is the nice 1/3 hp repulsion induction. Unfortunately, I didn't know the "6400" decal was on there and it got scraped off by the bed liner of my truck. This drill press came with the foot feed mechanism and came with a mortise chisel holder on it and the accessory spindle for mortising. I got no regular chuck or spindle. I got those later and also added the light and the belt guard. The belt guard came from a later model. I used the front pulley cover that came with and was drilled for the belt guard and switched the badges so the older style badge could remain. I also added the pull rod for the switch and painted it all with a hammered silver, basically a metallic gray. The collar below the table is a Walker Turner part. I was born in Plainfield NJ so it's okay.
